When using a UV flatbed printer, we need to do various pre use work for the UV flatbed printer, and color matching for the UV flatbed printer is essential. So, what should be paid attention to when color grading UV flatbed printers?
(1) Adopting the principle of "from light to dark", whether preparing light or bright colored ink, caution should be taken when the hue is close to the sample. Ink produced by different UV flatbed printer manufacturers should not be mixed and used. It is recommended to use ink of different colors from the same manufacturer for color matching. Otherwise, uneven color tones may occur, and in severe cases, condensation may occur, resulting in ink scrap.
(2) Some printer inks are dried by drying, with light colors being lighter than undried after drying and dark colors being darker after drying. In addition, it is easy to overlook whether there is a difference in the color tone of the ink before and after drying during printing.
(3) When preparing ink for UV flatbed printers, it is advisable to minimize the use of different colors of ink. The fewer types of ink used, the better the mixing effect.
(4) Generally speaking, through natural drying (solvent volatile ink), the substrate is plastic, metal, paper, glass, etc., and the color will not change; But if the coloring material used for ceramics, due to its color development after burning and oxidation, can only be adjusted based on experience. For silk screen printing ink dried by thermosetting and photopolymerization, the color may vary in depth, as mentioned above. When the ink volume is large, an ink mixer can be used to complete color adjustment in a short period of time.
